Compounded semaglutide contains the same active ingredient as Ozempic® and Wegovy®, formulated by licensed pharmacists with vitamin B12 for energy. It acts on the GLP-1 receptor to decrease appetite, slow digestion, and support gradual, sustained weight loss. Your provider can help determine if this personalized approach fits your medical and weight loss goals.

• Compounded Tirzepatide - As low as $150/month.

Compounded tirzepatide combines the same active ingredient found in Zepbound® and Mounjaro® with added vitamin B12 for energy support. It targets both GLP-1 and GIP receptors to reduce hunger, improve blood sugar control, and promote steady weight loss. While not FDA-approved in its compounded form, it is prepared by licensed pharmacists and may be recommended under clinical supervision.

For patients with a BMI over 40, or BMI over 35 with serious health conditions, bariatric surgery may be an option. These procedures can significantly reduce weight and improve conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea. Candidates are evaluated through a thorough medical and lifestyle assessment to ensure safety and long-term success.

There isn’t one “best” injection for everyone. Coverage for medical weight loss depends on your insurance plan. Most insurers cover obesity screening and counseling as preventive care. Some plans may also cover nutrition counseling, prescription weight-loss medications, or bariatric surgery, but often require prior authorization and proof of medical necessity. 

• FDA-approved weight-loss medications may be covered by commercial insurance but often have restrictions. Medicare does not cover medications prescribed solely for weight loss. Medicaid coverage varies by state. 
• Unapproved compounded versions of weight loss medications (Semaglutide, Tirzepatide) are not covered by insurance. 
• Bariatric surgery is covered by many plans if you meet specific BMI and health criteria. Medicare and Medicaid may cover certain procedures under specific conditions. 
• If coverage is denied, you can appeal the decision with supporting medical documentation. 

Costs can vary depending on the type of procedure and your individual medical needs, but most bariatric surgeries range from $15,000–$25,000 or more. Many insurance plans will cover the procedure if eligibility criteria are met, though deductibles and co-pays may still apply. Most patients tolerate these medications well. Common side effects include mild nausea, constipation, diarrhea, or fatigue—usually temporary as your body adjusts. 

Rare but serious effects may include pancreatitis or gallbladder problems. We monitor your progress closely and adjust treatment to ensure safety and comfort. 

Some patients notice early changes within the first few weeks, with more significant results around 12–16 weeks, especially when paired with nutrition and lifestyle guidance.
