Comprehensive Care for the Shoulder and Upper Arm
Orthopedic specialists at CLS Health provide care for shoulder and upper arm conditions, from conservative therapies to advanced surgical options such as minimally invasive procedures and shoulder replacement.
Conditions We Treat
- Rotator cuff tears and tendinitis
- Labral tears, including SLAP tears
- Shoulder dislocations and instability
- Frozen shoulder, also called adhesive capsulitis
- Shoulder arthritis
- Biceps tendon injuries
- Shoulder impingement and bursitis
- Advanced shoulder arthritis or joint damage that may require shoulder replacement evaluation
How We Diagnose Shoulder Injuries
Your evaluation begins with a one-on-one visit with one of our orthopedic providers and may include:
- On-site X-rays to check bone structure and joint spacing
- MRI referral for detailed soft tissue imaging
- Physical exam to test range of motion, strength, and joint stability
- Functional assessments to evaluate real-world shoulder use
An accurate diagnosis helps us recommend the most appropriate next steps for your condition, goals, and activity level.
Treatments We Offer
Non-Surgical Options
- Physical therapy to improve strength, mobility, and stability
- Corticosteroid injections to help reduce inflammation
- Biologic injections, such as PRP, for select patients when appropriate
- Activity modification and guided rehabilitation programs
- Bracing or immobilization when needed
Surgical Options
- Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair: A minimally invasive procedure used to repair torn rotator cuff tendons and help improve shoulder strength and function.
- Arthroscopic labral or SLAP repair: A minimally invasive procedure used to repair tears in the shoulder’s labrum, the ring of cartilage that helps stabilize the joint.
- Biceps tendon repair or tenodesis: A procedure used to treat painful or damaged biceps tendons by repairing or repositioning the tendon.
- Shoulder stabilization procedures: Surgical techniques used to help reduce recurrent shoulder dislocations or instability.
- Total or reverse shoulder replacement: A surgical option for severe shoulder arthritis, complex injuries, or advanced joint damage when nonsurgical care is no longer enough.
We focus on the least invasive effective option to help restore function, reduce pain, and support your return to daily activities.
