Vascular Conditions Treated by CLS Health SmoothSkin Vein and Laser Center
Our experienced experts apply laser energy which is absorbed by your blood vessels and converted to heat. This contracts the vessel to help reduce its appearance near the skin surface, reducing or eliminating discoloration related to:
- Rosacea - redness, flushing, visible blood vessels, most commonly on the face, neck or chest
- Varicose veins (varicoses) - enlarged, twisted, and often bulging veins typically on the legs. While often just cosmetic, they can sometimes cause aching, swelling, or heaviness.
- Spider veins (telangiectasias) - very fine, visible red, blue, or purple lines just under the surface of your skin, usually on your legs or face
- Port-wine stains - very fine, visible red, blue, or purple lines just under the surface of your skin, usually on your legs or face
- Cherry angiomas - very common, harmless red spots that often appear on your skin as you get older, typically looking like small, bright red bumps or dots
- Broken capillaries - tiny, visible red or sometimes purplish lines just under the skin's surface, usually appearing on the face
- Redness from scars - tiny blood vessels in an injured area remain somewhat dilated as the skin recovers, making the healing skin appear red

Cosmetic Conditions Treated by CLS Health SmoothSkin Vein and Laser Center
Using controlled heating, our experts use laser energy to target unwanted, visible brown pigment while protecting the top layers of your skin with specialized skin cooling technology. This helps improve the appearance of:
- Sunspots (solar lentigines) - flat, usually brown or black patches that appear on sun-exposed areas of your skin
- Age spots - usually brown or black patches that appear on sun-exposed areas of your skin
- Freckles - small, flat, light brown spots that usually appear on sun-exposed skin, especially if you have fair skin
- Melasma - common skin condition that causes brown or grayish-brown patches, usually on the face, often appearing symmetrically. Can be triggered by hormonal changes such as pregnancy or birth control.
- Other forms of dark spots (hyperpigmentation)

FAQs
During your laser session, you may feel mild discomfort, often described as a light snapping sensation against the skin. The level of discomfort varies based on your skin type, the area being treated, and the severity of the condition. Your provider will tailor the settings and use techniques to keep you as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure.
Treatment time depends on the size and location of the area being treated. Most sessions are quick and efficient, typically lasting between 5 to 20 minutes.
You may experience mild redness or puffiness immediately after treatment, similar to a light sunburn. These effects usually subside within a few hours. You can resume normal activities right away and apply light makeup if desired. Be sure to use broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect the treated area and support healing.
Some vascular or pigmented lesions may fade immediately, while others take several weeks as your body naturally clears the treated area. Results will continue to improve over time. Your provider will recommend a personalized treatment plan, including how many sessions are needed to achieve optimal skin rejuvenation.
