Infusion Therapy Centers

Advanced Infusion Therapy Centers in Houston
Our staff specializes in administering intravenous (IV) therapy and other treatments for a variety of conditions and works under the supervision of an attending physician to ensure a safe experience for all our patients. Whether it is expediting discharge from hospitals or avoiding hospitalization altogether, our IV therapy team provides the best care possible.

At our Infusion Therapy Centers, we prioritize comfort and safety in every encounter. From plush recliners equipped with televisions and reading materials to free Wi-Fi access, you’ll be in good hands here at CLS Health.
Additionally, we provide interpreters for non-English speaking patients, making sure everyone feels comfortable during their visit with us.
Conditions Treated
Infusion therapy is recommended when oral medications aren’t strong enough, when patients cannot tolerate them, or when a condition requires faster, more targeted treatment.
Bacterial infections such as osteomyelitis (bone infection), sepsis (bloodstream infection), and endocarditis (infection of the heart’s lining or valves) often require IV antibiotics. Because these infections are serious and sometimes life-threatening, infusion therapy delivers the high concentrations of antibiotics needed to fight the infection effectively.
Some fungal infections are too aggressive to be treated with oral medications. Infusion therapy with IV antifungals is often used for conditions such as candidemia (fungal infection in the blood) and aspergillosis (a lung infection caused by mold). These treatments ensure the medication reaches the bloodstream quickly and works against the infection throughout the body.
When it comes to viruses like HIV/AIDS, chronic hepatitis, or other resistant viral infections, infusion therapy can provide essential treatment. IV antivirals are often necessary when the virus is advanced, persistent, or unresponsive to oral therapies. This approach allows for better control of viral load and helps prevent further complications.
Patients with weakened immune systems are often prone to frequent and recurring infections. For both primary immune deficiencies and secondary immune deficiencies (such as those caused by chemotherapy or other medical conditions), infusion therapy with IV immunoglobulin (IVIG) strengthens the immune response and reduces the frequency of infections.
Certain chronic autoimmune and inflammatory conditions require medications that cannot be taken orally. Infusion therapy with IV steroids or biologics is often used in diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and severe asthma flares. These treatments help reduce inflammation and prevent disease progression.
Signs & Symptoms
Your provider may recommend infusion therapy if you experience:
- Persistent or recurring infections that do not improve with oral antibiotics
- High fevers and severe illness requiring hospitalization or IV support
- Compromised immune function leading to frequent infections
- Severe inflammation or autoimmune flares unresponsive to standard treatment
- Chronic conditions that need long-term, consistent medication delivery
