Dr. Riya Fukui, M.D., is a distinguished Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician.

A magna cum laude graduate of Rice University with dual expertise in Computer Science and Biochemistry, Dr. Fukui completed his medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as a DiMare Scholar, followed by a residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston.

His professional tenure includes clinical experience across major healthcare centers like Methodist West and Encompass Katy, and time as CEO and Medical Director at Houston Rehabilitation Group. Dr. Fukui’s commitment to advancing patient care is evident through his leadership in quality improvement projects focusing on physician-nursing communication and enhancing patient satisfaction post-discharge.

He is a published author in the field of rehabilitation robotics and has contributed significant research on optimizing rehabilitation outcomes for various patient groups, including post-COVID pulmonary rehabilitation.
