Hands-On Training & Mentorship
Over the 3-month program, residents will rotate across several specialties, learning in diverse clinical environments.
You’ll receive:
- Direct mentorship from seasoned NPs, PAs, and physicians
- Clinical experience in areas like primary care, urgent care, specialty medicine, and procedural settings
- A tailored learning plan to meet your career goals
- Exposure to both outpatient and inpatient care models

Founded and directed by Dipal Patel, DNP, and Nadin Farid, FNP, both UTMB graduates, this program reflects their passion for mentorship.
After graduating, they were fortunate to have outstanding preceptors and mentors who helped shape their early careers.
Now, they’re passionate about giving back by ensuring that future providers have the same level of support and guidance.

Program Leadership

Dr. Dipal Patel, DNP, FNP
Dipal Patel is a board-certified acute care and family nurse practitioner who holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. She serves as a pulmonary critical care nurse practitioner at CLS Health and is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Dipal considers it a true privilege to care for critically ill patients. She is committed to delivering evidence-based, compassionate, and patient-centered care with the goal of helping patients recover and return to their daily lives as quickly and safely as possible.

Nadin Farid, FNP-C
Nadin Farid is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at CLS Health, serving the communities of Clear Lake and Sugar Land, from children to adults. Fluent in both Arabic and English, she is dedicated to revolutionizing patient engagement within the healthcare system.
Her approach emphasizes holistic care, spearheaded through innovative nurse-led initiatives, aiming to enhance the overall health outcomes of her patients.
