My Biography
Dr. Jose Simon Montelongo Jr. was born and raised in Houston, TX. He received his dual bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor and is a medical graduate from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his general surgery training at University Medical Center, Texas Tech University Health Science Center, El Paso, and is board-certified in general surgery. He completed two years of additional training at the prestigious Michael DeBakey Cardiovascular Institute at Houston Methodist Hospital, where he learned how to treat complex disease processes of the arterial, venous, and lymph systems. Dr. Montelongo’s main interests are peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms and dissections, venous disease, and dialysis access. His goal is to deliver high-quality and comprehensive vascular care to all his patients, as he takes pride in treating each patient as he would his own family member.
