My Biography

After graduating from medical school in Amman, Jordan, Dr. Shabaneh completed both his internal medicine and cardiology training at East Tennessee State University. He then practiced both general and invasive cardiology in Clemson, South Carolina for five years before moving to Massachusetts to complete advanced training in interventional cardiology at Baystate Medical Center, an academic affiliate of the Tufts School of Medicine. After completing his fellowship with Tufts, Dr. Shabaneh undertook yet another endovascular fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine’s Texas Heart Institute. He then served as director of Clear Lake Regional’s Catheterization Laboratories for two years before joining Southeast Houston Cardiology. Consummately educated and holding board certifications in internal medicine, interventional cardiology, nuclear medicine and echocardiography, Dr. Shabeneh continues to serve his community and innovate within his field, even going so far as to publish a recent article in the Texas Heart Institute Journal detailing advances in the use of heart catheterizations inserted through the wrist.
